Megan works behind the scenes to keep the shop running. She is in charge of the billing and all things business related.
A 1997 graduate of VCU, she has worked in the GIS field and as a homeschooling mom. She joined her husband, Stan, in the shop in 2017 to keep things running smoothly.
When she’s not at the shop, you’ll find her watching her kids swim and helping reunite families using DNA and genealogy.
Stan took ownership of Certified Auto Repair in 2012 after working in the auto industry since 1995. His ability to diagnose even the most challenging repair has allowed him to have a faithful following of customers.
Stan is an ASE GM Master Technician Certified in HVAC, Steering & Suspension, Manual Drivetrain, Engine Repair, Diesel Engine Performance, Automatic Transmissions, Electrical/Electronic, and Mech/Elec Body Repair.
In his free time, you’ll find Stan supporting his kids competitive swimming at the pool and cheering on the Boston Celtics.
David has 10 years of experience in the automotive industry. He was a technician for ten years as he grew into the roles of shop foreman and then a service advisor. His favorite types of vehicles to work on are Nissans and Toyotas.
In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, gaming and building custom computers. He’d like for you to know that he is friendly, outgoing and willing and ready to help you solve your vehicle’s issues.
Kirsten is the first face you’ll see when you open the door to Certified Auto Repair, She joined the team in 2017 as a part-time receptionist and went full-time in August 2018.
She loved helping people with their car needs as well as learning all aspects of the car industry. She’s always had a passion for cars since she was a little girl.
Kirsten has a positive personality, will always try to make you feel welcomed and assure you that you are in good hands when bringing your car to Certified Auto Repair.
Tyler joined us in February 2020 as our lead technician. He has 6 years of experience in the professional automotive industry. In those 6 years, he has achieved the status of an A level technician. He specializes in complex diagnostics and enjoys working on Asian models most.
In his free time, Tyler enjoys working on cars, riding motorcycles and fishing.
HARRIS, Garry Ray, 53, of Petersburg, passed away June 1, 2020. He was born on June 1, 1967, in Richmond, Va. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Morrison Lunceford and his father, Carol Wilton Harris. He is survived by his supportive stepfather, Max Lunceford; his loving wife, Shannon Dawn Harris; his wonderful children, Josh Harris, Tannis Harris, Tobi Harris and Tyler Harris; two precious grandchildren, Gray Harris, Leighton Mundie and another granddaughter on the way; and brothers, Frank Harris, Chuck Harris, Jerry Harris and Shawn Lunceford. He was a great son, a loving husband, an amazing father and a wonderful friend. If you knew him, you know he really enjoyed his Wawa coffee, spending time with his family and telling jokes to make people laugh.
